Swedesboro, NJ (March 15, 2011) During the manufacturer's backorder, Wedgewood Pharmacy is custom-compounding Thiamine HCl 500mg/ml 100ml Injection Solution.
Thiamine HCl is a water-soluble vitamin of the B complex. Wedgewood compounded veterinary preparations are not intended for use in food and food-producing animals.
Jodi Donohue, Wedgewood Pharmacy's product manager for animal health said, “Custom-compounded medications can be critical to veterinarians to serve their patients' unique needs. A manufacturer's backorder or commercial unavailability of a medication does not lessen a practitioner's need for that medication as a treatment option. As a compounding pharmacy we are able to fill a void so that the patient's treatment regimen can continue, uninterrupted.”
