The commercially manufactured Tamiflu product, from F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, is offered in a 12mg/ml suspension (oseltamivir base) in a 25ml bottle. Wedgewood Pharmacy will fill prescriptions for oseltamivir 12mg/ml 25ml in a sugar-free cherry flavored suspension.

While Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment is on extended backorder from the manufacturer, Wedgewood Pharmacy will compound this preparation for use in hospitals. Compounded Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment from Wedgewood Pharmacy meets US Pharmacopoeia guidelines <795> and <797> for compounding non-sterile and sterile preparations, and each tube is terminally sterilized before it is dispensed.

According to Barbara Forney, VMD, a practicing veterinarian and medical writer, cisplatin frequently is prescribed by equine veterinarians as a chemotherapy drug to treat equine skin tumors such as sarcoids, spindle-cell tumors, squamous-cell carcinoma and melanoma.

It is the school’s highest alumni recognition, given for outstanding contributions to the profession, science and mankind. Malmberg, a resident of Wilmington DE, received the award at a ceremony Saturday evening.
