* Dispensing Technician - Swedesboro, NJ
Job Summary:
Increase pharmacy profit by supporting the acquisition and retention of quality customers and increasing sales through providing extraordinary customer service to Wedgewood Pharmacy’s customers. The technician accomplishes these tasks through working with Wedgewood’s management team and all other staff employees in fulfilling his/her responsibilities, duties, and demonstrates the desire to deliver customer service by the execution of non-selling tasks that are key to the successful operation of the business.
Essential Functions:
• Assist, working under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist, to ensure the accurate preparation and dispensing of prescription orders to patients and physicians in accordance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Provide extraordinary customer service to Wedgewood Pharmacy’s patients, clients, customers, and staff members.
• Generate and collate packing slips for sales orders that are ready to be shipped.
• Deliver sales orders with items that are out of stock and need to be compounded to the designated bins located in the production and labeling department.
• Assemble invoiced orders and prepare them for final check by a pharmacist.
• Provide assistance for inventory ordering, restocking, and control.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work station and department area. Safely and adequately handle equipment required for the job function - maintain safety awareness in the execution of their job.
• Adhere to all systems and procedures as instructed.
• Maintain documented systems for dispensing and inventory control as directed.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Support all facets of Wedgewood Pharmacy’s operations as necessary to ensure high quality customer service and effective workflow within the organization.
Required Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of computers and related software including spreadsheets, word processing, email, databases, and Windows operating systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in an organized fashion.
• Knowledge of prescription assembly and inventory control processes.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and other employees.
• Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions.
• Ability to keep records and prepare reports.
Required Credentials:
• Must become registered with the state of New Jersey as a pharmacy technician
