How to use the Twist-a-Dose™ Transdermal Applicator

Caution! To avoid contact with the medication, wear protective gloves when administering.

The first time you use the Twist-a-Dose™ Transdermal Applicator:

1. Remove the protective cap covering the white applicator tip.
2. Turn the end until a small amount of gel forms evenly at the tip to prime the pen. This can be anywhere from half a rotation to several rotations.
3. Turn the end with the left-facing arrow until it lines up with the right-facing arrow.
4. Wipe the applicator tip clean with a tissue.
5. Replace the cap if you are not administering medication. Otherwise, continue with step 2 under "Regular Dosing."

This process should only be done the first time the applicator is used. Subsequent uses should begin with step 1 under "Regular Dosing." If medication does not appear during a subsequent use, follow the instructions above.

Regular Dosing:

1. Remove the protective cap covering the white applicator tip.
2. Turn the end with the left-facing arrow a full two revolutions until it realigns with the right-facing arrow (for a 0.05ml dose), or as prescribed by a veterinarian.
3. Place the applicator tip directly on the inside portion of the ear flap (inner pinna) and spread it gently over the entire surface using the applicator tip. Be sure to gently rub the medication in well.
4. Wipe the applicator tip clean with a tissue.
5. Replace the cap.
